Tell the Super Committee in Congress: Keep Your Hands Off Social Security!

I agree that Social Security belongs to the people who have worked hard all their lives and contributed to it. Social Security does not belong to politicians in Washington to be used as a piggy bank.

The "Super Committee," in Congress, which was established as part of the debt deal, should keep its hands off Social Security. Social Security does not contribute a penny to the deficit. It should not be cut  to reduce the deficit.

We need to strengthen Social Security, not cut it. That is why I oppose any cuts to Social Security benefits, including raising the retirement age or lowering the cost of living adjustment (COLA).

I promise to support candidates who protect Social Security from any and all cuts by the "Super Committee" and promise to vote out members of Congress who vote to cut America's promises.

I’ve been getting social security now for 3 years, and my meager sum is only 409 dollars a month…a MONTH! How can you actually think of cutting this? Compared to the salary of a congressman or woman its just a pittance, but I NEED it.

No cuts to Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid that help make the middle class safety net. Compromising away the middle class safety net is unacceptable. No cuts to Pell Grants and no more cuts to public broadcasting and public media. Cut war spending and make Wall Street and the rich pay their fair share of taxes. Pass the Buffett rule!

Government is the root cause of all the problems we have today, therefore it is incapable of fixing itself. Crooked men that lie, are not redeemed by changing his underwear. That means you Congress, every one of you !

I will strongly oppose any such candidates including FL Reps William Posey, Sandy Adams and Daniel Webster. Posey pushed the birther movement and voted to keep CEO salaries high while even most of his GOP peers voted the opposite. They talk one way and then act another. Tax the Rich. Don’t cut Social Security or Medicare for those who have these now or are at least 59 yrs of age. Enough talk is enough. Join me.

Exactly no one currently in Congress will ever have to rely on Social Security! This election I am only voting for those who are not now currently in a Representative or Senatorial seat.

Let’s stop this ridiculous bickering, and demand that those who are supposed to represent the American people do just that.

Since all of you in cCongress have never seen a salary raise you did not like, and we senior citizens have not seen one in three years, you may want to look over your shoulder so you can get a look at your replacement during next election.
